Hardwood flooring continues to serve as a great choice for those that would like a modern and refined look as well as homes in search of a durable floor that can last a lifetime. Whether you are looking for a staple like Oak or something a little more exotic like Tigerwood, there are two types of hardwood flooring available to suit your needs:

Solid hardwood
Solid hardwood floors come in a wide range of styles, with each plank made of solid wood and milled from a single piece of timber. Installation takes place by nailing or stapling the hardwood directly into the plywood subfloor that lies beneath.

Engineered hardwood
Hardwood that has been engineered is comprised of several layers of wood that have been glued together to form a very strong and structurally sound floor. There is a very wide variety of sizes and styles available. Installation takes place by either nailing or stapling into the plywood subfloor below or by creating a floating floor through snap-together or glue together adhesion.
